Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. All bookings accepted for the rental are subject to these terms and conditions which are deemed to have been accepted in full by the hirer and all persons in the party by signature on the booking form. 

Booking:

To reserve the villa, please check availability by email (info@bougain-villa.com) then complete a booking form and return it together with a deposit of 25% of the full rental amount (if booked within 6 weeks prior to arrival)If the booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival, full payment is required. 

Provisional bookings will be held for five (5) working days only and the booking will only be considered firm when the deposit has been received and an acknowledgement sent to the lead renter.  Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.  The balance is refundable up to 4 weeks prior to arrival.  However it may be possible to change dates of stay of equal duration depending on availability.  An administration fee of US$50 will be charged for this.

You will be required to pay for damages and breakages that are not considered as fair wear and tear and extreme use of utilities.  This includes but is not limited to, excessive cleaning costs, replacement or repair to the property or any of its contents, the pool, deck or grounds, excessive use of the telephone.

Cancellation:

All cancellations must be in writing.  Cancellations must be notified immediately by email.  The following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than six weeks before arrival date – loss of deposit
  • Less than four weeks before arrival date – 50% of rental amount
  • Less than two weeks before arrival date – 100% rental amount

If necessary we can provide the relevant insurance letter in the event of cancellation.

Accommodation:

The villa rental price includes the cost of water, electricity, appliances, linen and towels, use of the villa, pool and garden.

Two people per bedroom (except infants in cots), with a maximum of 6 people occupying the property.  If you wish to have additional people you will need to request this at time of booking, for this an additional charge of  US$50 will be made per additional person per night when the number of people occupying the house.  Guests are not allowed to bring pets to the villa, and in the interest of health and safety, smoking is not permitted inside the villa.

Check in/departure:

The villa will be available for guests after 2.00pm local time on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12noon local time on the day of departure, but arrangements can be made for luggage to be left for later collection.  Early arrivals and late departures may be possible if previously agreed.  Detailed instructions for key collection and directions to the villa will be sent, however we do provide complimentary airport transfers.

Every effort is made to ensure that the property is in perfect condition for your arrival.  If you notice something missing or is not working please contact the premises manager using the telephone located in the villa.  It may be necessary for the premises manager to enter the property during your stay in order to perform routine maintenance or repairs.

Hirer’s Responsibility:

While on the premises please do not possess illegal or deal in controlled substances or be profane, lewd or brawling, or indulge in bad language, misconduct or disturb the peace and comfort of neighbouring homes.  For the safety and comfort of all guests, smoking is not permitted inside the villa, except around the pool area.  Please be courteous and dispose of your cigarette ash and stubs responsibly.

Do not allow children to use the swimming pool unsupervised or allow adults under the influence of alcohol or drugs to enter the water.

Responsibility:

The premises manager will inspect the property for loss and damage following your departure.  The hirer will be liable for all costs resulting from this inspection other than any costs arising from acceptable wear and tear.

If circumstances beyond the owner’s control should make the rental home unavailable, the customer will be advised as soon as possible.  Alternative accommodation of at least comparable standard will be offered, if available, or a refund of monies paid, unless the change/cancellation arises from reasons of ‘Force Majeure’.  The maximum liability is limited to the rental amount paid.

We do not accept responsibility or liability for loss or damage to personal items while travelling to the property, staying in the property , or after departure from the property. We strongly recommend that you take out travel and medical holiday insurance cover.
